Big Brother Hotshots So Far

Africa’s most watched reality Tv show is here again. Dubbed Big Brother Hotshots, the show has been eventful so far.
Ellah Shares with Big Brother
Ellah, the Ugandan beauty, told Biggie that she was having great moments in the house with Frankie whom she described among others things, as being soft and sweet. She however filled in Biggie on one of her convos wit JJ who’s allegedly not having sex till he’s married.
Ellah: “JJ isn’t having sex till he’s married,” she revealed with a smile on her face.
Biggie: Why the laugh, Ellah?
“It’s just funny… she replied.
M’am Bea’s Soul Food
As the housemates would have it, M’am Bea is somewhat in charge of the kitchen, doing her bit as self-assigned ‘resident chef’. She whips up a mouth-watering omelette for those who were ready to eat. The boys really appreciate her for feeding them. Permithias exclaimed on Day 1 that she was wife-material.
Nigeria Gets a Butt Massage from Namibia
It was barely 24hours after Big Brother Hotshot 2014 kicked off when one of Nigeria’s representative, Lilian began romancing a guy in the house. She was pictured in a hot n steamy mood with Namibian housemate, Luis, who grabbed her butt and smooched her in front of the cameras for several minutes. Could this be an early start to a well-planned strategy?
Just a small chat
Alusa & Samantha started a convo about heritage/family and moved on to the topic of an ex-boyfriend; he was amazed that she is single. Clearly more than just convo, sparks were flying as Alusa gave her his full attention. Permithias joined the convo, trying to cosy up to Samantha, perhaps suspicious of Alusa’s intentions towards her. Is a LOVE triangle in the making? What about Tayo? Has Samantha forgotten him?
Trezagah Coming Out of His Shell
Since the housemates entered the Big Brother house, we have not heard much from Trezagah. He has kept to himself, quietly observing and listening to the rest of the housemates. Whilst this could have been read as a strategy, he soon let us in later on Day 1.
In the Day 1 diary session, Trezagah told Big Brother that the reason he has kept to himself is due to the language barrier. He said that his first language is Portuguese and in as much as he can converse in the English language, he finds it hard to interject conversations with his views. He admitted that this could potentially work against him in the house.
The Mozambican rapper is slowly coming out of his shell as he engaged some housemates and even shared some cheerful moments. He had a chat with Tayo and staged a talk-show with him. As the talk-show host, Trezagah interviewed Tayo about his performance for tonight and laughed throughout their short segment.
Finally the rapper is stepping out of his comfort zone, sharing himself with the housemates, embracing and learning about them. Will this come up in the next diary room session with Biggie? Will Trezagah have something to share with Biggie in terms of who he is developing friendships with?
Is Lillian Faking it?
Since Wednesday morning Lillian has seemingly lost her voice. After the morning session, she has been heard speaking in a squeaky voice, subsequently irritating Big Brother Africa fans. Has she really lost her voice or is she faking it? Is this a ploy of some sort?
Some of the housemates have been losing their voices over the few days that they have been in the house. Tonight we will see how some of them will cope. Permithias sounds as though he could use with some kind of remedy for his throat, should he plan on singing his lungs out tonight.
The housemates have gathered up and are doing final preparations for tonight. Kacey Moore and JJ have taken the responsibility of being the leadership in coordinating the roll-out of tonight’s show and also making sure that housemates have their performances ready. Everyone is clearly working together in ensuring that the show tonight is well done and impresses Biggie. Butterphly is proving to be quite impressive as the host of the television show that she’s been playing out with the housemates.
The ladies are busy with their make-up and props and everyone has their bit to do to make sure that Biggie is impressed. What are the chances that the housemates will win their 100 per cent wager tonight?
More Tears In The House
Day 3 in the Big Brother House saw more tears. As morning broke, we saw some early risers already in conversation with each other whilst other housemates were slow in getting up. However in no time, Clint Brink walked into the house.
Clint Brink is a South African actor best known for his soapie roles as Shawn Jacobs in Backstage; as Bradley Paulse in Generations and as Tino Martins in Scandal! Upon entering the house, he engaged the few housemates that were in the kitchen and the lounge. He revealed that having begun working at the age of 15 years, he has been in the performing arts industry for over 12 years.
As soon as all the housemates had gathered around Clint, he told them that he was there to help guide them in so far as stage performance was concerned. He encouraged the housemates to be emotionally ready, to support each other and cautioned that anyone who would not corporate would be kindly asked to leave the room. Housemates were asked to share what they had prepared so far for their upcoming performances; Esther was first up.
Esther got up to do a run of her traditional dance performance. Clink congratulated her for being brave and told the housemates that what is important about each of their performances is how they feel about it. Arthur confidently shared some of his jokes as a budding stand-up comedian. Clint continued to encourage housemates to respect one another and not to pre-judge themselves, but rather, exude confidence.
Rivers started flowing with Ellah’s singing (backed by Kacey Moore with the guitar). Sheilla gave a soulful melody with her singing and Mira followed to explain what she had put together in her poster. She got emotional after and JJ’s moving song, which brought some of the housemates to tears. The morning session was very emotional, with Sabina, Sheilla and Goitse struggling to hold back their tears. Will Big Brother be touched by what the housemates have in store for him in their performances and importantly, will the housemates win the wager?
