Osita Iheme of ‘Aki na Pawpaw ‘ declares 2015 political ambition

The spate at which Nigerian entertainers are delving into politics is becoming alarming. Recently, Julius Agwu, the ace comedian, Desmond Elliot, D’banj, Kate Henshaw, Abolore Akande, popularly known as 9ice are few of Nigerian entertainers who have declared their ambition to vie for political position in their various states.  The latest to join the fray is Osita Iheme, popularly known as Pawpaw.
Pawpaw according to media reports has declared his intention to seek an elective position come 2015. Though undecided on the specific position to vie for and the which party flag to achieve this, Iheme said he is still consulting to enable him toll the right path and take the right steps.
He said: “It is true I have a political ambition, but I am still consulting.
I want people to be on the lookout because I am poised to serve the people as well as inspire the new generation.
Irrespective of any ambition, I have over the years created a platform to inspire and project positive thinking into the minds of people, especially the younger generation because it is now we can claim our rights before the future comes,”
What could prompt the influx of these entertainers to politics? Could it be service to their fatherland? Could it be that politics is more lucrative than entertaining? All these question are begging for answers.
